County marriages such as this do not typically locate the place of marriage beyond leading us to believe that they were held in the county shown. In this case, the marriage was almost certainly held in Beverly. It may have been held at the residence of the parents of either the bride or groom, or it may have been held at Troy. The Methodist Episcopal Church in Beverly was located at Troy. Either way, it's reasonable to locate the marriage in Beverly. The name of the witness James Scroggy should likely read Scroggie. There was a Scroggie family in Beverly.
