Nicholas Misener was born on 1 March 1832 at Beverly Twp, Wentworth County, Ontario.1 He was the son of Adam Misener and Helen Coleman.1 He married Aramintha Richter Miller Aker.1 Here is Nick in the 1871 census:
MISENER , NICHOLAS
Age [39] Birthplace [O] Religion [ IM] Ethnic Origin [ GERMAN]
District [23] Sub District at an unknown age Division Page [2] Page [29] County [WEN] Description [Beverly Twp.]
Looking at the microfilm of the 1871 census page, Nicholas and Armintha are said to be age 39. Listed with them are: Isabella 14, Henry 10,William 8, J.C. 6, Ellen 4, Clara 1.
In 1901 Nicholas and Aramintha are in Lambton County with nephew Charles Misener (Henry Moe Misener's son). Nicholas is said to be a partner of Charles.
The children in this tree are all represented in this tree as being born in Beverly Twp. Certainly, the family was living there at the timeof the 1871 census and the youngest child, Florence, is shown as bornin Wentworth on her marriage registration. Also, Isabella, the oldest, is shown on her marriage registration as being born in Beverly. Beverly seems the logical place to locate the births of these children.1
