     John Coleman 'Cole' Misener was born on 28 March 1838.1 He was the son of Adam Misener and Helen Coleman.1 He married Margaret Alice Mannen on 28 July 1869 at Niagara Falls, New York.1 He died on 9 September 1922 at Albert, Manitoba, at age 84.1 According to the Troy History printed in 1947, John Coleman Misener, named after his maternal grandfather, was known as Cole Misener. Cole Misener taught school, partenered with John Neff as a storekeeper, andwas postmaster at Weir, in Ancaster Township. In the 1891 census taken at Beverly it says that he is a farmer, though the word is nearly illegible.
