Daniel Buckberrough was born on 24 March 1827 at Beverly Twp, Wentworth County, Ontario.1 He was the son of George Buckberrough and Sarah Coleman.1 He married Eliza Taylor.1 He died on 12 December 1906 at Berlin, Waterloo County, Ontario, at age 79.1 He was buried at Mt Hope Cemetery, Waterloo, Ontario.1 Information for Daniel's family is taken from the 1871 census and a transcription of Mt. Hope Cemetery in Waterloo, Ontario.
There was some suggestion that this person's name was Samuel, but theGolden Anniversary article for James Lawrason and Eunice Buckberroughis clear about D. Buckberrough of Waterloo being a brother. The birthyear is the same as the report for Samuel with only a conflict between March and May.

In 1861, Daniel and his family are in Wallace Township of Perth County. There, he is a farmer.1
