On the evidence:

Emerson Main and Matilda Bishop were married in 1876 in St. George. They appear in the 1881 and 1891 censuses with no children. There is a delayed statement of birth for Olive Blanche Main Hammond. It was filed in Barrie, but places her birth in Hamilton on Nov 6, 1892. She gives her parents' names as William Emerson Main and Matilda Jane Bishop.

A note: We must believe that Emerson is with his parents in North Dumfries Township in 1871. An apparent enumerator's error has his name as Allison.
