|Note||Jennie's parents were William McBride, 1862-1926, and Nellie Biggar,1865-1948. Nellie was born in Galt and William in Toronto. William McBride is described, in various documents, as a safe maker. He was employed by Goldie McCulloch in Galt and, apparently, so was his father before him, also William McBride and also described as a safe maker. Records show that the wife of William McBride Sr. was Jane Aiken, but she may have been deceased prior to the family moving to Galt. William McBride Sr and Jr are both buried at Mountview Cemetery. William McBride, Jennie's father, was married twice. His first wife was Mary Ellen Kay, sometimes known as Minnie Kay. She was born in 1861 and died in 1888. William and Mary Ellen apparently had one child, William H. McBride, a half brother to Jennie. He died in 1905 at age 18. He and his mother are buried with the Kay family.|
