Frank Church was Emma May Coleman's uncle. He later owned a hotel in Preston, Ontario. The marriage registration states that Emma May was born in England. She wasn't. She was born in Beverly Township in Wentworth County. Her mother, Harriet Church, was born in England.

According to Tom's obituary in the April 11, 1907, issue of the Galt Reporter, Tom had an uncle in Galt, James Johns, living on Beverly St., a brother, Sidney Johns of Winnipeg, and a sister, Mrs. Lowe, of Cleveland.
