A family story has it that Cora and George were divorced. Cora is buried at Mountview Cemetery in Galt under her maiden name. At the time of the 1911 census, Cora Cairns is living with her parents in Beverly Township.
Her obituary in the Galt Daily Reporter was in the name of Mrs. Cora Cairns. The obituary states that she lived in the Sheffield area before coming to Galt in 1920. She was a member of Wesley United Church in Galt.
