The form was evidently signed by the groom and bride.
Henry Brown, clergyman, certified that Fred Vrooman and Helen Hogan were married at Spokane on 24th May 1915. The month was omitted, but the registration was dated the 26th of May and was required to be filed within 5 days. The witnesses were Emma R. Frasier and Alice C. Hogan. They both apparently resided in Spokane.

Chas. MacAllen certified the marriage of Fred Vroomana and Mabel Rosskopf at Spokane on 16 September, 1924. The witnesses were J. X. Rosskopf and Anna Rosskopf.
 
DeathHe died on 30 April 1968 at Newport, Pend Oreille, Washington, at age 79.

It shows him as Frederick V. Vrooman, male, born 6 April 1889 at Blue Earth, Faribault, Minnesota. His father is Walter Watson Vrooman, born Oregon, age 30. His mother is Emma Rose Pettit, born Blue Earth, Minn, age 20. The source film nbr, is given as 1673217.

The 'old man's' draft of 1942 shows Fred's middle name as Victor. He was living in Spokane, Washington, at the time.

Fred was in Spokane, Washington, at the time of the 1920 census and living with his mother and step-father. In 1930, he is still present in Spokane and married to Mabel.

A draft registration card exists for Fred V. Vrooman dated June 5, 1917, at Spokane. He is shown as age 28, born April 6, 1889, an engineer, without siblings, and single. His address is given as 911 W. First Ave., Spokane, and his place of birth a Blue Earth, Minnesota.

The Washington State Library has kindly provided an obituary for Fred V. Vrooman taken from The Newport Miner, May 2, 1968, page 12. It reads in part:

Fred V. Vrooman, 79, passed away Tuesday, April 30, at the Newport Nursing Home. Mr. Vrooman, a retired plaster contractor, has resided in the Newport area since 1950. etc. Mrs. Vrooman passed away several years ago.

Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Friday, May 3, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Newport with the Rev. William Hanly officiating. Interment will be in Fairmount Cemetery in Spokane.

Fred and Mabel are buried in the same plot as Mabel's parents, Joseph and Anna Rosskopf.
