Fairview Cemetery's web site has a photo of Jean's gravestone. The inscription reads: Jean Sterling/dau of/William H. & Josie A. Vrooman/died July 31, 1903/aged 1 yr, 3 mos, 27 dys. The burial date on Fairview's page that shows the photo of Jean's gravestone read August 31, 1903. The Niagara Branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society has an index on their website for Morse Funeral home. That provides a date, usually the burial dates, of August 1, 1903. It's possible that August 1 is the order date for the funeral and that the actual burial was a day or two later. |
