Rev. Francis J. Crowder, United Brethren.
Rev. Crowder was minister at the United Brethren (the First Church of Beverly) from 1868 to 1873. This per John A. Cornell in his work The First Church of Beverly, 1921 McLelland & Stewart, Toronto.
|Note||The 1871 census at Beverly, A2, page 66, presents a couple of minor problems. Keziah's name is shown as Sophia. Since Keziah outlived James, and at the time of the 1881 census the children were with her in Dundas, it appears that this is an enumerator's error. Also, there is an illegible entry for their first child, which is probably Eleanor. Also in the household at the time of the 1871 census is a Marthy Shannon, age 13.|
Beyond this, a record of James' death or place of burial has not been found.
