| Note | He Albert George Vrooman's date of death is to be found in a California death index. His place of death was Santa Cruz, California. Albert and Jessie married in Canada in 1886. Their son Benjamin was born in California in 1889 and we must believe that they were in California from prior to that date. In their marriage registration, Jessie, though showing herself as being born in Niagara Falls, New York, was then resident in Santa Cruz, California. They likely went to California shortly after their marriage. Certainly, they are found in Santa Cruz, California, from the 1900 census through to the 1940 census, both of them appearing in the California death index shortly thereafter. In 1900 and 1910, Albert is retail merchant of oil. In 1920 and 1930, he and Jessie are florists. |
