| Note | He In his marriage registration, John Norman's father's name is also John Norman. Baptismal information for at least some of his children shows John's middle name to be Joseph. The list of the children for John and Susannah is based on census and baptismal information. The last four children of John and Susanna - Emma, Laura, Edith, and Susan - are all shown to be baptized in Filleigh. The 1881 census, however, shows their place of birth to be South Molton. These two locales are both in Devon, but not very close together. It's a bit of a guess, but there was probably a family reason for the Filleigh baptisms. |
