Charles Grant

     Charles Grant was born on 23 November 1850 at England.¹ He married Bessie Moe, daughter of Husted Moe and Christina Cook, on 5 October 1881 at Orillia, Simcoe Counth, Ontario.¹ The 1911 census shows Charlie as the Clerk Treasurer for the Town of Orillia. It shows him coming to Canada from England in 1856. The 1911 census gives a birth year of 1851 for Charles and 1856 for Bessie. It shows them living on Matchedash Street.

At the time of the 1911 census, all the children listed in the 1901 census are living in the Grant home with the exception of Albert.¹
