NoteShe Our information for Teresa Evans is minimal. We know she married Charles Mulholland on December 22, 1863. The 1881 census taken at Yorkville in York East shows two Mulholland children with her: Minnie, age 14, and George, age 12. On December 11, 1873, she married Ludwig Raymer. The same 1881 census shows that they have a child with them, Albert Raymer, age 2. (Spellings of Raymer vary. Some records show Rayner, however the majority show the name as Raymer, including one that Teresa has signed herself.) Later in 1881, Ludwig and Teressa had a daughter Nellia Maude.

It seems reasonable to say that Charles Mulholland died between the birth of George in 1869 and Teresa's remarriage in 1873. No death record has been found for Charles nor a burial record.

Interestingly, in 1941 when Minnie signed the birth registration document for Nellie Maude, she gave her name as Minnie Raymer. She signed this document in the presence of a Notary Public in Detroit and it would seem reasonable that the Notary Public would ask for identification. What happened at that time isn't clear, but Teresa appears in the 1920 census at Detroit. There, she is shown as a widow. With her are daughters Minnie Mulholland, age 51, and Nellie M. Raymer, age 32. The 1920 shows Teresa's immigration as being in 1885, Minnie's as 1908, and Nellie's as 1905.

Ludwig is described as a street car driver when Albert was born. Minnie shows him as a horse trainer in the 1941 document.
