     Noah S. Bowman was born in 1848 at Woolwich Twp, Waterloo County, Ontario.1 He married Sarah E. Buckberrough, daughter of James Coleman Buckberrough and Rachel Smith, on 2 April 1878 at Waterford, Ontario. (notes: 007035-78 Waterford, Norfolk Co. Noah S. Bowerman, age 30, residence Waterloo County, Ontario, born Woolwich Twp., bachelor, cheese maker, parents Jacob and Mary Bowerman. Sarah Buckborrough, age 24, born and residing Windham, spinster, parents James and Rachael Buckborrough. Witnesses: Lewis Beemer and Rebecca Beemer, both of Waterford. The groom was United Brethern and the bride was Methodist. Clergyman: Rev. A. Slaght. April 2, 1878, at Waterford.

Evidence is that James Bowman, father of Noah S. Bowman, was properly named Jacob Solomon Bowman. Since Bowman was in rather more common usage in the family, this is used in this tree.).1
