Francis E. Wolliung, age 26, Presbyterian, born Barton Twp., and residing Hamilton, parents Emile Wolliung, shipper, and Emma (Anna) Carrick. Ruth Hubbard, age 21, spinster, born Pittsburg, nationality Canadian. Parents Harlen Page Hubbard, manufacturer, and Bessie Williams. Both Francis and Ruth were Presbyterian. Witnesses: H.W. Turnbull, Edmonton, Alberta, and Olive Hubbard of Hamilton. Francis Wolliung and Harry Turnbull were half brothers. They evidently got on well enough for Harry to come from Edmonton for the marriage. |
Note | She The Hamilton branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society has transcribed the many sections of Hamilton Cemetery. Where Frank Wolliung, husband of Ruth Hubbard Wolliung, is buried is described as sections N, P, and J. Ruth's burial does not appear on the list in what is obviously a Hubbard family burial plot. According to two graves transcribed, it appears that Ruth married twice. The two graves read as follows: Frank Edward Wolliung / husband of / Ruth Hubbard Wolliung / Feb 26, 1886 / Feb 9 1925. And Walter Gordon Marriott / husband of / Ruth Hubbard Wolliung / January 13, 1879 / August 16, 1940 A death registration for Francis has not been found. |
