     William Moe was born in October 1857 at Bayham Twp, Elgin County, Ontario.1 He was the son of Henry Moe and Sarah (--?--).1 He married Caroline Bennett on 2 December 1884 at Bayham Twp, Elgin County, Ontario. (notes: The marriage registration is badly faded, but appears to read:

002820-84 Bayham Twp., Elgin Co. William Moe, 27, born and residing Bayham, bachelor, farmer. Parents Henry and Sarah Moe. Caroline Bennett, 19, residing Bayham, born Waterloo. Spinster, parents Isaac and Caroline Bennett. The witness appears to bear the last name of Heffernan.The rest of the document is too faded to read.).1
2820-84 William MOE, 27, farmer, Bayham, same, s/o Henry & Sarah, married Caroline BENNETT, 19, Waterloo, Bayham, d/o Isaac & Caroline, witn: Mr. & Mrs. Ed HUFFMAN of Bayham, 2 Dec 1884 at Bayham.

The above registration as it appears on the microfilm reel is badly faded. The above is taken from an online transcription and appears to be correct.

William and Caroline are at Linn Township, Walworth Co., Wisconsin, for the 1900 census. He is said to be a farmer. The months, but not dates, of the birthdays of the family are given in this census.

William and Caroline are at Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, for the 1910 census. William is said to be an engineer at the electric light plant. They have with them son Edward, age 22, who is said to be a printer - general work.

William and Caroline are at Kenosha, Wisconsin, for the 1920 U.S. census. He is said to be a shipper at a foundry. They are said to have become naturalized citizens in 1898. They are still at Kenosha in the 1930 census. He is 72 and said to be a gardener for private homes.1
