John Frank Mannen was born on 1 September 1868 at Brant County, Ontario.1 He married Alice 'May' Misener, daughter of John Coleman 'Cole' Misener and Margaret Alice Mannen, on 28 March 1894 at Cook County, Illinois. (notes: The Illinois Cook County records show their marriage against this date and their license as 00215551.
Misener family information says that Alice and John were married in the home of Mrs. Jennie Duncan, 4803 Wabash Ave., Chicago, Illinois.).1 He died on 26 September 1945 at Elgin County, Ontario, at age 77.1 He was buried at St. George Cemetery, South Dumfries Twp, Brant County, Ontario.1 In the 1901 census taken at Ancaster, Frank is said to be a farmer.1
