Descendants of John Coleman & Elizabeth Lawrason
Isabella Misener was born on 4 August 1857 at Beverly Twp, Wentworth County, Ontario.1 She was the daughter of Nicholas Misener and Aramintha Richter Miller Aker.1 She married James Harvey Warner on 30 September 1875 at Galt, Waterloo County, Ontario. (notes: 022208-75. Galt, Waterloo Co. James N.(?) Wismer, age 29, residing and born Beverly, bachelor, carpenter. Parents Thomas and Sarah Wismer.Isabel Misener, 19, spinster, born and residing Beverly. Parents Nicholas and Armintha Misener. Witnesses, Mrs. Stevens and Miss E. Stevens, both of Galt. At Galt on 30 September 1875. Both the bride and groom were Methodists. Clergyman Rev. D. Smyth.

Note re above marriage registration. The name of the groom on the registration, made at Galt, is very poorly written. The handwriting of the clerk at Galt is difficult, but the rest of the document isn't badly written. One transcription, the above, has his surname as Wismer, and this is reasonable based on the appearance. The Misener family transcription shows his name as Misener, but this is not how the name appears on the registration.

The Misener family website shows Isabella first marrying a James Misener and then a James Warner a year or two later. Likely, the clerk at Galt had a problem with the handwriting of the reporting clergyman. Itdoes appear that the parents of James Warner were Thomas and Sarah. This is still being investigated, but the rendering of James' name as either Wismer or Misener would appear to be an error.

Further investigation may show otherwise, but since no marriage registration has been found showing Isabella marrying a James Warner, this tree will treat show her as being married once and to James Warner.).1
Information for the names and ages of the children of Isabella Misener and James Warner is taken from such birth registrations as have been found and the 1901 census taken at Lambton East, Enniskillen E10, page 1. Other census information has been used, where found.

According to the U.S. Census taken at Toledo, Ohio, in 1920 the Warners are there and are said to have been in the U.S. since 1909.

The family is at Findlay, Ohio, in 1910, but the page is very faded and nearly unreadable. The transcription for the index seems to be rather good in this case, and it's undoubtedly the family. It also seems to show that Roy is their last child, or at least their youngest surviving child.

In 1920, James and Isabella are in Toledo, Ohio, with their youngest sons, Ray and Roy, and apparently living with daughter Clara and her husband Charles. His surname is illegible.1
