     Alberta 'Ethel' Smith was born on 5 August 1879 at Beverly Twp, Wentworth County, Ontario.1 She was the daughter of Albert Kellogg Smith and Amelia Misener.1 She married Thomas A. Elliott on 22 June 1900 at Goderich, Ontario. (notes: 008768-01 (Huron Co) Thomas ELLIOTT, 28, laborer, Wawanosh Twp, Colborne Twp, s/o Thomas & Rebecca ELLIOTT married Bertie SMITH, 21, Beverly Twp, Nile, d/o Albert & Amelia SMITH. Wit Christopher McKENZIE and Kathleen McKENZIE, both of Petrolia. June 22, 1900 at Goderich.).1 She died in 1952.1 She was buried at Dungannon Cemetery, Ashfield Twp, Huron County, Ontario.1 Thomas and Alberta are buried in Dungannon Cemetery in a plot separate from Alberta's father. Alberta's daughter Isabella is buried with Albert. The year of death for Thomas and Alberta is taken from the gravestone transcription.

Thomas and 'Bertie' appear in the 1901 census at Huron West, WawanoshWest. He is said to be a painter. He is Church of England she is a Methodist. His ethnic origin is said to be Irish and hers German.1
