Charles Robinson Bricknell was born on 3 May 1867 at Mulmer Twp, Ontario.1 He married Phoebe Dezira Smith, daughter of Albert Kellogg Smith and Amelia Misener, on 23 December 1885 at Sunnidale Twp, Simcoe County, Ontario. Phoebe Smith, age 21, residing Goderich, Ontario, born in Beverly Township. d/o Albert Smith and Amelia ...illegible. Wit. J.B. Houle, of Flos, Ontario, and R.A. Bicknell of Sunnidale. Place of marriage Sunnidale Township. Both were Methodists. The minister was Geo. Abbs of Stayner.).1 He died on 11 August 1942 at Dixie, Peel County, Ontario, at age 75.1 He was buried on 14 August 1942 at Park Lawn Cemetery, Toronto, York County, Ontario.1 Information for the death of Charles Robinson Bricknell is taken from the Toronto Star edition of 13 August 1942. It states that he died Tuesday, August 11, 1942, at his home on Dixie Road in Dixie (part of Toronto). Mentioned are his wife, Phoebe D. Smith, and his children, Mrs. George G. Hare (Lolla) of Dixie and William Harold Bricknell of Mimico (also a part of Toronto). Also mentioned are his brothers, Williamand Joseph of Toronto.1
