Parents James and Mary Sharp. Witnesses James Sharp Jr. and Alexander Buchanan, both of Sth. Dumfries. On 23 March, 1871, by Rev'd. John Dunbar. The witness, James Sharp Jr., is obviously Isabella's brother; Alexander Buchanan was married to Margaret Stewart who was William Stewart's sister. Alex Buchanan's brother William came to Glen Morris around 1868 and he and wife Catherine had a son Alex, but at the time of the marriage of William Stewart and Isabella Sharp, young Alex would have been about 14. |
