Charles Wood was born in 1866 at Beverly Twp, Wentworth County, Ontario.1 He was the son of Samuel Wood and Maria Coleman.1 He married Mary Ellen 'Ella' Taylor on 10 November 1892 at Galt, Waterloo County, Ontario. (notes: Transcriptions for registrations at Galt during this era are difficult. The handwriting of the clerk is difficult to decipher. Still, the following seems a reasonable translation of the intent:
Marriage reg. 012168-92 Galt, Waterloo Co. 10 Nov. 1892 at Galt. Charles E. Wood, 25, bachelor, farmer, born and residing Beverly, Methodist. Parents Samuel Wood and Maria Coleman. Ella Taylor, 20, spinster, born and residing Beverly, Methodist. Parents Joseph Taylor and 'Athriana' Shaver. Witnesses Hannah B. Griffin and Maggie Griffin. Clergyman Rev. M.S. Griffin.).1 He died in 1935.1 He was buried at Troy Cemetery, Beverly Twp, Wentworth County, Ontario.1
