William M. Babcock

     William M. Babcock was born on 18 September 1864 at Sheffield, Beverly Twp, Wentworth County, Ontario.¹ He married Teresa Vansickle, daughter of John Vansickle and Eliza Misener, on 24 May 1890 at Galt, Waterloo County, Ontario. As written, both William and Teresa are shown as age 24. His parents are shown as John and Hannah Babcock. He was said to be born in Sheffield, but both are shown as resident in Troy. The transcript actually shows her parents as John and Eliza Babcock. The first names are correct, but Babcock is a clerical error. The witnesses appear to have been his parents.).¹ He died on 3 November 1906 at Galt, Waterloo County, Ontario, at age 42.¹ He was buried at Mountview Cemetery, Galt, Waterloo County, Ontario.¹ At the time of his marriage, M. Babcock resided at Troy, Ontario.

At the time of his death he was residing at Market Street. His death registration is 029672-06. The cause given is pernicious anemia.¹
