Emma and Peter were married in Ancaster in 1876 and resident there. By 1881, they are in Dunwich Twp. in Elgin County, perhaps having made the move with Emma's family.

In the 1881 census at Dunwich Township, Peter and Emma have a daughter Sarah age 2 with them. Her birth year would be 1879. In the 1901 census they have a daughter Maud with them, born May 10, 1879. This is likely one and the same person and the implication then is that her name was something like Sarah Maud.
