Eliza Maria Gerrard was born in 1869 at Beverly Twp, Wentworth County, Ontario.1 She married Oran Main, son of George Main and Clarissa Coleman, on 29 October 1902 at Sheffield, Beverly Twp, Wentworth County, Ontario. (notes: 18086-02 Oran MAIN, 32, farmer, Beverly, same, s/o George MAIN & Clarissa COLEMAN, married Eliza GERRARD, 30, Beverly, same, d/o John Gerrard & Maria Grummett, witn: John Grummett Jr. & Elta MAIN, both of Beverly, 29 Oct. 1902 at New Sheffield
The handwriting of Beverly Township clerk, Wallace McDonald, is difficult in his later years. The above registration is mainly illegible and is only decipherable based on noting Oran's burial record at Sheffield and the name of his wife in the transcription. It is only with some familiarity with other family records that Elta's name is decipherable. John Grummett Jr.'s surname is likely correct, but this is very difficult to read.).1 She died in 1950.1 She was buried at Sheffield Cemetery, Beverly Twp, Wentworth County, Ontario.1
