ID # 847, (1863-)
|Father||James Coleman Buckberrough (1824-1916)|
|Mother||Rachel Smith (1834-1901)|
|Birth||Jonathan Buckberrough was born in 1863.|
|Marriage||He married Ida (--?--).|
|Note||In later years, it appears that Jonathan Buckberrough went by John.|
At some point, he married Ida, but a record of their marriage has not been found and Ida's maiden name remains unknown.
Jonathan is with his parents in Windham Township, age 8, in the 1871 Canadian census. He has not been found in Canada thereafter. He is shown as John Buckborough in the 1900 U.S. census taken at Denver Township, Isabella County, Michigan. He is a farmer and his wife Ida is with him. They have been married eight years and he is shown as having gone to the U.S. in 1881 and she in 1889. With John and Ida is nephew Siegel, who, by his marriage registration, may be identified as the son of John's brother George and his wife Edith Malcolm.
John and Ida are still in Denver Township in 1910. They are shown as married 20 years. Again, he is shown as entering the U.S. in 1881 and, in this census, she is shown as entering in 1890.
The 1920 shows them to be in Elkhorn Township, San Joaquin County, California. Again, their years of entry are 1881 and 1890. With them in this census his John's brother George.
To this point, John and Ida have not been found after the 1920 census.
