With them is daughter Mildred born in Michigan. Wesley is shown as John Lawrason, with enumerators' marks over what appears to be an initial. He is a widower and there is no indication as to when Cynthia died, but Mildred was born in 1883. According to a later census, the family went to the U.S. in 1882.|
John Wesley Lawrason was, at some remove, a cousin of Cynthia Buckberrough, his wife. His parents were John Purvis Lawrason and Sarah Crane who are buried at Troy; his grandparents were Thomas Lawrason and Charity Deneen, also buried at Troy; and his great grandparents were Miller Lawrason and Elizabeth Purvis who are buried in St. George Cemetery.
Miller Lawrason was brother to Elizabeth Lawrason who married John Coleman; Elizabeth was the mother of Sarah Coleman who married George Buckberrough; they in turn were the parents of James Coleman Buckberrough, who was the father of Cynthia.
