     Alvin C. Snell was born on 12 October 1878 at Chatham, Kent County, Ontario.1 He married Gertrude Lillian Fellman, daughter of Jakob Bachman Fellman and Elizabeth Delight Buckberrough, on 19 June 1902 at Methodist Church, Wingham, Ontario. (notes: The Brantford Expositor repeats a piece from the Wingham Advantage describing the wedding of Gertrude Lillian Fellman and Alvin C. Snell. The bride was given away by her grandfather, D. Buckborough of Waterloo. Arthur Fellman, brother of the bride, played the organ and Percy Morley was usher. Percy appears to be a first cousin of the bride by wayof her aunt Pamelia.

A child, one of the flower girls, is referred to as Miss Delight Hobbs, and will be a daughter of Delight's to Richard Hobbs.

He died on 30 January 1951 at Toronto General Hospital, Toronto, York County, Ontario, at age 72.1 Alvin was a dentist, per the 1901 and 1911 censuses taken at Essex, Ontario.

Information about the death of Alvin Snell appears in the death notices of the January 31, 1951, edition of the Toronto Star:

At Toronto General Hospital on Tuesday, January 30, 1951, Dr. C. Alvin Snell of 717 Eglinton Ave., beloved husband of Gertrude L. Snell, and father of Mrs. H.O. Stock (Delight), Dr. F. Van Vliet Snell, and Grant Snell. Funeral private. Flowers gratefully declined.

The above does not give us the date or place of burial.1
