James Hamilton Doyle

      James Hamilton Doyle was known as Jay. He was born on 1 December 1893 at New Westminster, British Columbia.^3,4 He was the son of James Joseph Doyle and Mary Ann Hamilton.^1,2,3 He appeared on the 1901 Census of New Westminster, British Columbia, in the household of James Joseph Doyle and Mary Ann Hamilton.⁵ He appeared on the 1911 Census of New Westminster, British Columbia, in the household of James Joseph Doyle and Mary Ann Hamilton.⁶ He was a tradesman at New Westminster, British Columbia, in 1915.⁷ He married Aulene Benson on 6 April 1915 at New Westminster, British Columbia.⁷ He lived at Issaquah, King County, Washington.⁸ He was childless.⁸ He lived at Fall City, King County, Washington, in 1955.⁹ His Social Security Number was 535-30-1872.¹⁰ He died on 8 June 1980 at Fall City, King County, Washington, at age 86.¹⁰

Family tradition says that Jay was involved in a bar fight at the age of about 19 - later he was told that the man had died so he fled to the US where he lived the rest of his life. ⁸ (note however that he was resident of New Westminster when he married at age 22. flw).
