     Ruth Jahnke's full name was Elnora Ruth Jahnke. She was born on 18 February 1924 on a farm in Saskatchewan.1 She was the daughter of Gustav & Sadie Jahnke.1 She was the eldest of 12 children. She married Alvin F Blakie on 23 December 1951 in Saskatchewan.1 She was left a widow when Alvin F Blakie died on 14 October 2008.2 She died on 20 February 2021 in Calgary, Alberta, at age 97.1
