      John K Hamilton was born on 11 October 1863 at South Crosby Twp, Leeds & Grenville County, Ontario.2 He was the son of Charles Hamilton and Mary Jordan.2,1 He immigrated in 1886 to North Dakota. He apparently returned to Ontario in 1890 to marry Elizabeth.3 He married Elizabeth Burns, daughter of John Burns and Lydia Nolan, on 12 February 1890 at St Philip Neri Church, Toledo, Leeds & Grenville County, Ontario.4,5 He was the County Auditor for Langdon, Cavalier County, North Dakota, in 1910.6 He was the County Treasurer for Langdon, Cavalier County, North Dakota, in 1920.7 He died on 13 July 1942 at Langdon, Cavalier County, North Dakota, at age 78.8
