      Rose McCarney was known as Rose McKerry or McKenny or McCarry.1 She was born in 1804 at Ardclinis, Co Antrim, Ireland.2,3 She has also been reported to have been born in 1806.4 She married John Hamilton at Co Antrim, Ireland.5 She and John Hamilton and their 8 children immigrated to Ontario in 1847.6 She died on 5 August 1884 of dropsy at Bedford Twp, Frontenac County, Ontario.3 She has also been reported to have died on 26 July 1884.7 She was buried at St Edward's Cemetery, Bedford Twp, Frontenac County, Ontario.8,7
