Rose McCarney was known as Rose McKerry or McKenny or McCarry.1 She was born in 1804 at Ardclinis, Co Antrim, Ireland.1,2 She has also been reported to have been born in 1806.3,4 She married John Hamilton at Co Antrim, Ireland.5 She and John Hamilton immigrated with their 8 children in 1847 to Ontario.6 She and John Hamilton appeared on the 1851 Census of Loughborough Twp, Frontenac County, Ontario.7
She appeared on the 1861 Census of Bedford Twp, Frontenac County, Ontario, in the household of John Hamilton.4 She appeared on the 1871 Census of Bedford Twp, Frontenac County, Ontario, in the household of John Hamilton.8 She appeared on the 1881 Census of Bedford Twp, Frontenac County, Ontario, in the household of John Hamilton.9 She died on 5 August 1884 of dropsy at Bedford Twp, Frontenac County, Ontario.2 She has also been reported to have died on 26 July 1884.10 She was buried at St Edward's Cemetery, Westport, Leeds & Grenville County, Ontario.11,10
