Michael Jordan was born about 1801 at Ballindaggan, Templeshanbo, Co Wexford, Ireland.1,2 He has also been reported to have been born in 1798.3 He married first Mary Farrell before 1828 at Ireland. He and Mary Farrell immigrated between 1845 and 1847 to South Crosby Twp, Leeds County, Ontario.4,5 He was left a widower when Mary Farrell died on 10 August 1847.6 He married second Esther Cummins on 13 August 1848 at St Francis de Sales Church, Smiths Falls, Lanark County, Ontario.7,8
He lived at Lot 14 Con 5, South Crosby Twp, Leeds County, Ontario.9
He left a will on 19 May 1863.
He died between 1863 and 1869.10,3
Research Note: I have assumed that Michael Jordan and his children, with the exception of Esther, were born in Ballindaggin, Co Wexford because his daughter Margaret's tombstone says "native of Ballindaggin, County Wexford, Ireland."1
