     Mary Farrell was born about 1807 at Co Wexford, Ireland.2,3 She married Michael Jordan before 1828 at Ireland. She and Michael Jordan immigrated between 1845 and 1847 to South Crosby Twp, Leeds County, Ontario.4,5 She died on 10 August 1847.3 The OGS transcription of her tombstone erroneously reports her death as 10 Aug 1842 (the photo clearly reads 1847). It is possible that she died in Grosse Ile, Quebec or onboard ship shortly before arrival there. There are 4 reported deaths of women named Mary Farrell at Grosse Ile on 10 Aug 1847. Several ships arrived from Ireland on 9 & 10 Aug - she could have been a passenger on one of them. There is a tombstone commemorating Mary Farrell at Philipsville Catholic Cemetery, Philipsville, Leeds & Grenville County, Ontario. The stone was erected by her son John long after her death. She may or may not be buried there.
