      John Joseph Carty was born on 18 March 1887 at South Crosby Twp, Leeds & Grenville County, Ontario.1,2 He was the son of Henry Joseph Carty and Elizabeth Dunn.1,2 He was baptized on 25 April 1887 at St Philip Neri Church, Toledo, Leeds & Grenville County, Ontario.2 He married Beatrice Murphy.3 John Joseph Carty was principal of St. Mary's in Kingston and later a Kingston school inspector.3 He died in 1944.3
