      Francis Michael Carty was known as Frank. He was born on 14 June 1901 at South Crosby Twp, Leeds & Grenville County, Ontario.1,2 He was the son of Henry Joseph Carty and Elizabeth Dunn.1 He married Laura M Breen.2 Frank and Laura succeeded Henry and Elizabeth on the family farm located at 212 Franks Road just south of Elgin. That farm was in the Carty family from 1909 until it was sold by Frank's son Michael in 2003.3 He died in 1979.2 He was buried at St Columbanus Cemetery, Elgin, Leeds & Grenville County, Ontario.2
