      James Doyle was born on 16 July 1872 at Portsmouth, Frontenac County, Ontario.1,2 He was the son of James Doyle and Margaret E Fitzgerald.1 He immigrated to Toledo, Lucas County, Ohio, with his parents James Doyle and Margaret E Fitzgerald in 1892.3 He married Margaret Jane O'Grady, daughter of John O'Grady and Mary Josephine Walsh, on 17 October 1894 at Immaculate Conception Church, Toledo, Lucas County, Ohio.4,2 He and Margaret Jane O'Grady lived at 142 Western Ave, Toledo, Lucas County, Ohio, after about 1904, sharing the house with Margaret's mother Mary Josephine O'Grady who lived upstairs.5 In the early 1900s James sent a Christmas postcard to his aunt Elizabeth (Dunn) Doyle. The picture showed a young girl with her little brother; James wrote: "Dear Aunt, the picture on this reminds me of Gertrude and Gerald. Merry Christmas. Jim." James worked for the New York Central Railroad.5 He died on 30 November 1941 of chronic nephritis at Toledo, Lucas County, Ohio, at age 69.6 He was buried at Calvary Cemetery, Toledo, Lucas County, Ohio.7,6
