     Michael John Joyce was born on 28 July 1889 in Joyceville, Frontenac County, Ontario.1,2 He was the son of Thomas Lawrence Joyce and Mary Regan.1 He married Ellen Rose Kane on 8 June 1920 in St Edward the Confessor Church, Westport, Leeds & Grenville County, OntarioG.2 He was left a widower when Ellen Rose Kane died in 1949.3 He died on 23 August 1954 of acute heart collapse in Westport, Leeds & Grenville County, Ontario, at age 65.4 He was buried in St Edward's Cemetery, Bedford Twp, Frontenac County, OntarioG.5
