     Martin Jones was born on 1 April 1856 at Troy, Beverly Twp, Wentworth County, Ontario.2,3,4,5 He was the son of Andrew Johnson Jones and Mary Delilah Mann.1 He married Louisa Templeton on 31 December 1884 at Lynden, Wentworth County, Ontario.2,4 Martin Jones and Louisa Templeton lived most of their lives in the Troy area. For some years, Martin was a mail carrier, picking up the mail at Lynden and carrying it to Troy, delivering to rural mail boxes along the way.2 He died on 16 December 1916 of tuberculosis at Lot 7 Con 3, Beverly Twp, Wentworth County, Ontario, at age 60.2,5 He was buried at Troy Cemetery, Beverly Twp, Wentworth County, Ontario.6
