George Davidson1

M, ID# 3356, (c 1858-)
George Davidson was born about 1858 at Scotland.2 He was the son of Thomas & Janet Davidson.2 He married Ida Manetta Coleman, daughter of George W Coleman and Harriet Church, on 10 July 1891 at Brantford, Brant County, Ontario.2

Robert Coleman recalls that George at one time had his own textile mill at Paris, Ontario. At some point the family moved to Indiana. He remembers their daughter Gladys visiting with grandmother and Aunt Vera. Gladys brought a nephew and niece with her that trip, Stephen and Trish; he believes that they were Roy's children.

In the 1920 census, he is said to be a foreman in a knitting mill. Two of their children are with them: Gladys A. and Earl G. In the 1930 census of Fort Wayne City, Indiana, George and Ida have lodgers, but none of the lodgers appear to be a family connection. He is said to be a foreman in a hosiery mill. They likely died in Fort Wayne.1
