Cora Main was born on 2 April 1874 in Troy, Beverly Twp, Wentworth County, Ontario.2 She was the daughter of George Main and Clarissa Coleman.1 She married George Cairns on 10 June 1903 in Sheffield, Beverly Twp, Wentworth County, Ontario.3 She died on 31 May 1969 in Galt, Waterloo County, Ontario, at age 95.1 She was buried on 3 June 1969 in Mountview Cemetery, Cambridge, Waterloo County, Ontario.1
Robert Coleman writes: "The story that has come down through the Colemans is that Cora and George were divorced. Cora is buried at Mountview Cemetery in Galt under her maiden name. At the time of the 1911 census, Cora Cairns is living with her parents in Beverly Township.
Her obituary in the Galt Daily Reporter was in the name of Mrs. Cora Cairns. The obituary states that she lived in the Sheffield area before coming to Galt in 1920. She was a member of Wesley United Church in Galt."1
