Richard Misener

M, ID# 777, (-1762)
6th great-grandfather of Faye Louise Doyle
Richard Misener was born at Germany. He married Elizabeth (--?--). He emigrated in 1720 from Germany via Holland. He died on 22 April 1762.

The Misener Family, a manuscript by Harley Misener says:
"As far back as we have been able to trace the Misener family Richard and Elizabeth emigrated from Germany to America in 1720. We don't know what part of Germany they came from but it is likely the name originated with the city of Meissen, pronounced My-zen. It is located in the District of Thuringia which is now in East Germany. A few years after coming to America we find them living in Sussex County at the north end of New Jersey where they continued to reside. It is likely they had a larger family than listed here but these are the only names we have."
