John Wesley Jones was born on 18 November 1836 at Beverly Twp, Wentworth County, Ontario.1 He was the son of Peter Jones and Esther Decker.1 He married Annie Harvey on 1 March 1865 at Malahide Twp, Elgin County, Ontario.1 He died on 31 October 1915 at age 78.1
