     John Stryker was born in 1719 at Hempstead, Nassau County, New York.1 He was the son of Jacobus Stryker and Martha Griggs.2 He married Sarah Crooker, daughter of Sampson Crooker and Margaret Losee, before 1752. He was a farmer at Oyster Bay, Queens County, New York, in 1759.2 He left a will in 1759.2 He died in 1759 at Hempstead, Nassau County, New York.1,2
