     Elias Clapp was born about 1700.1 He was the son of Captain John Clapp and Elizabeth Channell.1 He married Ruth Allen on 20 July 1727 at St George's Church, Hempstead, Nassau County, New York.1 He lived at North Castle, Westchester County, New York, in 1742.1 He left a will on 15 December 1762.1 He died about 1783 at North Castle, Westchester County, New York.1 His estate was probated on 30 June 1783.1
