Christian Betts was born on 15 October 1777 at Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Andrew Betts and Catherine Sherbondy. He married first Elizabeth Birch, daughter of James Birch and Sarah Buckley, in 1800 at Pennsylvania.1 He married second Hannah Englehaupt about 1845.1 He died on 21 June 1853 at Green, Mercer County, Pennsylvania, at age 75. He was buried at State Line Cemetery, Crawford County, Pennsylvania.1
