Joseph Hall was born on 11 September 1782 in Preston, New London County, Connecticut.1 He was the son of Laban Hall and Olive Greer.1 He married first Mary Chidester about 1802 in Mentz Township, Cayuga County, New York.1 He married second Joanna Challis, daughter of Ennos Challis and Joanna Chase, on 5 July 1812 in Holland, Erie County, New York.1 He died on 28 October 1864 in Ogden, Weber County, Utah, at age 82.1 He was buried on 30 October 1864 in Ogden, Weber County, Utah.1
