     Laban Hall was born on 9 September 1755 in Peekskill, Westchester County, New York.1 He was the son of Christopher Hall and Sarah Peck.1 He married first Olive Greer, daughter of James Greer and Mary MacNeel, on 6 December 1780 in Preston, New London County, Connecticut.1 He and Olive Greer were divorced in August 1810.1 He married second Lucy Eddy on 6 December 1810 in Thetford, Orange County, Vermont.1 He married third Mary Colton Daggett after 1818.1 He died on 9 September 1842 in Otter Creek, Vigo County, Indiana, at age 87.1 He was buried in Otter Creek, Indiana.1

Laban's obituary in the Wabash Courier, Terre Haute, Indiana, on 17 September 1842 read:
"Laban is buried near the Otter Creek Bridge, Otter Creek, Vigo County, Indiana. He was married first to Olive GEER in 1752 and they were divorced in Aug 1810. He second married Lucy EDDY. According to a journal by his grandson, Mark HALL, Laban was a Baptist Preacher. He died at the residence of his son, Allen Eddy HALL. He was 87 years old. He joined the American Army at the age of 20 and passed through several years of the Revolutionary War. He was buried with Military Honors and had a large number of his fellow-citizens and friends and relatives present. [Note that the marriage date of 1752 preceeds his birth by 3 years.]"1
